Equality, Diversity and Safeguarding

Working closely with partners in industry and the academic world, Qualitrain is keen to benchmark its performance on issues of Equality, Diversity and Health and Safety against the most stringent standards of our partners. We also strive to promote British Values of Democracy, Tolerance, Individual Responsibility and Freedom within the Law in the way we go about our daily work and in the learning environments we create. Policy statements are freely available to our partners and potential partners.

Equality and Diversity Statement

Qualitrain welcomes diversity in learning and training, and all our learners are equally valued regardless of age, disability, family responsibility, marital status, race, colour, ethnicity, nationality, religion or belief, gender, sexual orientation, political activity, or unrelated criminal convictions.

We are committed to providing an inclusive learning environment, actively opposing discrimination, striving to improve access and providing outstanding support.

The purpose of our Equality and Diversity policy is to provide equal opportunities and experiences to all our employees and learners, irrespective of their gender, race, ethnic origin, disability, age, nationality, national origin, sexuality, religion or belief, marital status and social class. Health and Safety

Learners are given knowledge and understanding to enable them to adopt safe working practices and make informed choices about their health and well being at work.

Qualitrain strives to embed and promote British Values by ensuring all team members conduct training activities in ways which reflect core values of Democracy, the rule of Law, Tolerance, and mutual Respect. We encourage candidates to engage with each other in respectful debate, ensure that individuals are not unfairly treated or discriminated against, and promote the philosophy that all contributions and shared experiences are useful and valuable. We work closely with employers to ensure language is not a barrier to learning and individual progress, and that all candidates have equal access to the potential of success.

Prevent

Qualitrain works with a wide age range of training candidates and is aware of the greater potential for radicalisation amongst under-25s. Our staff are aware of the need to monitor and report any behaviour which causes concern.
