Funding Partnerships

At Qualitrain we spend all day, every day, building strong, mutually-supportive and successful teams. No one knows better than ourselves the importance of well-managed partnerships, and Qualitrain works with the best, to deliver the best.

West Nottinghamshire College

Based in Mansfield and Ashfield, West Nottinghamshire College is one of the largest and most successful providers of training for business in the country, and the major provider of post 16 education and training in Nottinghamshire.

The college has been kind enough to recognise the value of our input with a recent award for Outstanding Timely Success, presented to Qualitrain for our ‘ongoing dedication to achieving exceptional learner retention rates’, and for hard work and commitment given to the college, its students and to the employers it serves.

Department of Work and Pensions

When train makers Bombardier needed to recruit to fulfil the requirements of their Crossrail contract they had difficulty in finding local people with a suitable background in manufacturing or engineering. To address the problem proactively, DWP Midlands Shires partnered with Qualitrain and engineering recruitment specialists Shorterm.

RNN Group

RNN are a group of organisations across Rotherham and North Nottinghamshire who came together to make a strong offering to learners and employers across the region. With an annual turnover of £42 million and over 12,000 learners they are the largest training provider to school leavers in their catchment area.

RNN provide training at all levels for anyone over school leaving age and have the University Centre Rotherham as a key part of the group to support Higher Education learners.

Employer Academies allow businesses to become active participants in the academic and vocational learning offered across key industrial sectors.

Qualitrain have been working with RNN for a while now and are enjoying a great relationship with them, we are supported and managed well and feel a real involvement in their organisation.

Using funding provided by DWP Midlands Shires, Job Centre Plus candidates were offered the chance to undertake a week-long pre-employment training scheme which provided them with the basic skills Bombardier were looking for. Of 63 job seekers who have taken part in the scheme so far, no less than 50 have been offered jobs at Bombardier – a remarkable 80% success rate.

Newcastle College

Newcastle College serves over 20,000 learners from its main Rye Hill campus in the heart of Newcastle upon Tyne and from nine satellite sites and four community-outreach venues, making it one of the largest and most successful in the UK. The college works with hundreds of regional businesses and contributes an amazing £244m to the regional economy.

Newcastle College is a division of NCG, one of the UK’s largest national training and colleges groups. NCG’s mission is to ‘Unlock Potential Through Learning’ and Qualitrain has been delighted to be part of that process, using funding provided by Newcastle College to deliver a wide range of training courses into manufacturing and industrial businesses.

Burton & South Derbyshire College
