Meeting the needs of the Industry

Skills required for today's Manufacturing and Engineering Industry

The Performing Engineering Operations Level 2 NVQ teaches learners the basic skills required to work in a Manufacturing and Engineering Environment. The Qualification is designed for those new to industry, equipping them with the skills to progress into the workplace.

This qualification is primarily delivered at Qualitrain Engineering Academy in Alfreton, Derbyshire, however it can also be delivered on-site where more convenient for the Employer.

The PEO teaches the fundamental skills of Engineering and provides experience of what it’s like to work in a Manufacturing environment.

Learners work to create their own product from start to finish whilst using a range of Machines, MIG Welding kits and Hand Fitting tools and techniques Learners are trained by Industry leading tutors.

This short course is ideal for candidates with little to no engineering experience, to ensure they have the skills and experience the organisation requires before they begin their employment.

*For funding purposes, learners must be at least 19 years old as of August 2024 *

Level 2 NVQ

  • 6 -8 week training course
  • Training tailored to suit the organisation
  • Fully funded via the Adult Skills Fund for eligible delegates
  • Delivered at our site in Alfreton, or on-site at your organisation
