Qualitrain Engineering Academy is part of the Qualitrain Group; providing Engineering training to organisations in the East Midlands.

Qualitrain Ltd is an award winning, matrix-accredited training provider on the Skills Funding Agency’s Register of Apprenticeship Training Providers (RoATP).

We have over 15 years experience developing and delivering our own training programmes through our deep understanding of real world environments, and have trained and qualified thousands of candidates across the whole of the UK.

Finest Industry Trainers and Assessors

Our Team of Trainers and Assessors have a wealth of experience both working and teaching in the Engineering and Manufacturing Industry and work to ISO 9606 standard. Their industry knowledge adds unique value for Apprentices and provides them with a real-life insight into working in the Industry.

Training during Industry hours

Our training is delivered during industry working hours, unlike Colleges and other educational settings. This means we do not close for long periods and training is delivered between the hours 07:30am – 15:30pm.

Year-round start dates

We understand that the need for new skills and training comes around more than twice a year, which is why we are proud to open our doors to new learners every 10-12 weeks. Please contact us for more information. s

Ongoing progression opportunities

Starting from Level 2, our Engineering Qualifications follow natural progression paths offering the opportunity to upskill or specialise for those new to the Industry or those wanting to change roles and excel in their career.

Inclusion of Maths and English

Our Apprenticeships also include Maths and English Functional Skills teaching and assessing, for those who require it. Learners that have already achieved a Level 2 in Maths and English are exempt from this additional training.

Qualitrain Engineering Academy is based in Alfreton, Derbyshire; providing great access to Engineering and Manufacturing organisations based in the Midlands. The Academy is just a short walk from Alfreton train station and the local bus station.
