About the job

Due to continued success and ongoing expansion, an exciting opportunity has arisen for 1 Black Belt Trainer to deliver Green Belt (Practitioner) and Black Belt (Specialist) apprenticeships across the UK to support the growth of our provision. We are keen to hear from people who have extensive experience teaching and coaching Lean Six Sigma, reputable third-party Black Belt Lean Six Sigma (or AGILE) certification, and who have a passion to educate and inspire others. 

Role

  • Contribute to training material development
  • Agree realistic and challenging targets with learners
  • Deliver training sessions that motivate learners to want to succeed
  • Use coaching sessions to develop and support learners, so that they improve themselves, their work processes and their company’s performance
  • Track and evidence learner progress
  • Work cooperatively with internal and external customers to ensure all requirements and deadlines are met
  • Be prepared to travel, as required, but there will be remote working elements
  • Shift work may be required

The Person

  • Ideally Black Belt certified but AGILE certified practitioners will be considered
  • Experienced Lean Six Sigma Trainer and Coach
  • Proficient using Minitab (or similar)
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and team dynamic skills and experience of successfully assigning team members with roles and responsibilities
  • Flexibility and customer focus attitude
  • Punctual and reliable
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated

Minimum requirements: Reputable Black Belt certification or AGILE certified practitioner. At least five years’ Lean Six Sigma teaching and coaching experience and can demonstrate real life examples of improvement projects that have been completed or coached.

Desirable, but not essential: Qualifications in Teaching, Degree in Management or Engineering. Experience in both manufacturing and transactional environments. Level 2 English and Maths.

Prospects: Opportunities as vacancies arise within the Qualitrain Group, such as Senior trainer and management positions.
